Campaign Created by: Anonymous Mother - URGENT Help Needed to Keep My Son
This request is for myself and my son. I choose to remain anonymous for the protection of my child. Below is a summary of what is currently happening.
Please help me fight to get my son back. I have not been able to see him in over three weeks, or spoken to him in a week. This is because of the recent legal actions his dad has taken to keep us apart while he was staying with him. And I haven't seen him since. This is NOT legal. But I can't do anything to stop it until I can pay my attorney.
I have the sweetest little boy. He’s kind, generous, so silly, so handsome, loves his family and loves God. He’s always the dirtiest kid coming home from school because he plays the hardest and I love that. He’s been afforded all the experiences of adventure and sports and community and I am so grateful.
Despite the toxicity of the relationship I have with my son’s dad, I always put my child's best interest first. I always wanted my son to have a relationship with both of us and still do. But, my son’s dad is trying to gain SOLE custody. He wants to cut me out of his life. This is not in the best interest of our child and I cannot let this happen. But, if I can’t raise enough money for an attorney, my worst nightmare might come true. And he knows this.
There is a long history of abuse, both mentally and physically from his father towards me. But, I always kept our issues separate in order for our child to keep his relationship with his father.
I have been in therapy throughout the years and learned how to deal with the trauma and abuse I endured. I needed help navigating my situation after I left my son’s dad years ago and moved to another city. I strive hard to give my son the best life! And I do.

After 8 years, I moved back to the city where his father lives. After years of driving thousands of miles each year for visitation, I thought enough time had passed to where moving back to the same city might be best for my son. Less travel time and more quality time with both of us.
Sadly, the harassment and verbal abuse started again. But, now my son is old enough to notice which is so heartbreaking to see.
I do not have or make the kind of money my lawyer needs to settle all of this. I picked up an extra job and have been working on selling belongings to raise the money I need. It's just not enough. And, I have a less than a week to make this happen.
If you find in your heart to help with my custody battle, I would be eternally grateful. The financial cost to go through this will be heavy. But, it will change my son’s life for the better.
Thank you SO VERY MUCH for taking the time to read my story.
